Our Process
The Design. Each Home is designed to be both attractive & efficient with comfort in mind. Our Homes feature open style living spaces filled with light and character to compliment an entertaining alluring lifestyle.
The Lot and Foundation. We devote many of our resources to finding quality home sites. It is our belief that a first class location is an essential first step in building a great home!
Each home site has soil samples taken to ensure the ground will properly support a new home. Almost all homes constructed with a Post Tension Foundation will need some soil remediation and replacement to make a firm subsurface. This information is also key to sizing the depth of the foundation and the steel size and placement.
Neighborhoods We Build In. Texas City Cottages pursues property and builds homes in Timbergrove, Lazybrook, Oak Forest, Heights, Spring Branch and other thought out home sites in The Greater Heights and Oak Forest areas. We have found that lots in these neighborhoods meet our high standards.

We use Teck Shield Roof Decking, Double Paned Gas Filled Insulated Windows, Poly Sealing all the Small Openings and Around Door and Window Frames and a Mixture of Cellulose and Fiberglass Insulation. High Efficiency Air Conditioning System with dehumidifier attachments and UV light cleaning options with Natural Gas Heating. We provide both Electric and Natural Gas Dryer Connections.
